Q Origin is designed to be quiet. We don't track you, we don't sell your data, we don't use third-party analytics or advertising pixels. This page explains, in plain language, what we do collect and why.

What we store

  • Account: your email address and a hashed password (or your Google sign-in identifier).
  • Profile: the name, birthdate, birth time/location, and intentions you enter yourself.
  • Practice content: journal entries, observations, voice transcripts, layer entries — all stored in your private workspace.
  • Invite codes: a code you generate to invite friends, and a record of who redeems it. Invitees never see your email.

What we don't do

  • No advertising. No retargeting. No data sales.
  • No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Mixpanel, no Hotjar).
  • No emails beyond essential account flows (sign-in confirmation, password reset).

AI features

Optional features like reflection summaries and pattern recognition send the relevant text to our model provider for processing. The provider does not retain your content for training. You can use Q Origin fully without ever invoking these features, and you can switch them off in Settings.

Your rights

You can export everything you've ever written from the Export page, and you can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is scheduled immediately and becomes permanent after 30 days. You can cancel within that window.

Q Origin is reflective and educational. It is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a diagnostic tool. It is a structured way to observe yourself.
